ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Bettie Rage. Nerdy goth mom, dark lore obsessive, and the person who will absolutely crochet something beautiful out of a sweater that was headed for a landfill while telling you exactly why Dr. Frankenstein deserved everything that happened to him.
I created this space because I couldn't find one that felt like mine. Something that held the dark stories and the craft and the mom life and the obsession with monsters and mythology all in the same room without any of it feeling out of place. So I built it myself.
On Lashes and Lore, my YouTube series, I dig into the folklore, fantasy lore, and dark history that most people gloss over. The stories behind the stories. The women history forgot to mention. The villains the fandom got wrong. I tell them hook in hand, crocheting while I talk, because that's just how my brain works and honestly it makes for better viewing. Older episodes have I did the same thing but while putting on makeup.
Reanimate Threads is the other half of my heart. It's my sustainable crochet brand built on a simple belief that beautiful things shouldn't require new materials. Every piece I make starts with something thrifted, something unraveled, something that was already loved and just needed somewhere new to go. If slow fashion and dark aesthetics are your thing, you're going to feel very at home here.
I'm also a mom to two kids who have strong opinions about monsters, and I think that's probably the most important thing I do.

Lashes & Lore is a long-form YouTube series where dark folklore, fantasy lore, and the stories history forgot to tell get the deep dive they actually deserve.
Every episode I sit down with a crochet hook in my hand, a pile of thrifted yarn, and something to say about a villain the fandom got wrong, a myth that's been warped beyond recognition, or a woman whose name got left out of her own story. I crochet while I talk. The blanket grows. The lore gets darker. It's a whole thing.
Expect dry wit, genuine obsession, and the occasional moment where I get unreasonably invested in a fictional knight who had every chance to do the right thing and didn't. Older episodes started with me doing my makeup and telling stories. We have evolved into grandma crafts.

Reanimate Threads is my sustainable crochet brand, and if you know your D&D, you already get it. Reanimate Dead is a necromancy spell. It brings dead things back to life. That's exactly what we do here, except instead of raising the dead we're unraveling thrifted sweaters and turning them into something worth keeping.
Fast fashion is loud and cheap and everywhere. Reanimate Threads is the opposite of that. Every item is handmade, one of a kind, and built from materials that deserved a second life. If you've ever wanted something that feels genuinely unique and didn't cost the planet to make, this is where you find it.
I make bags, home goods, wearables, and things that don't fit neatly into a category but are always made with intention. The shop updates as I make things, so if something speaks to you, don't wait on it.
